Malaysia hosts talk on Iran cinema

"Asia Director Talk" event in Malaysia is set to throw the spotlight on Iranian cinematic productions with thespians and directors from Iran in attendance.

Iranian and Malaysian directors and producers of cinematic works of the two respective countries will be in talks on November 18 the event held at the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) in Kuala Lumpur.

Some 100 directors, producers and actors, including Iranian director Abolhassan Davoodi as well as Mohammad Ali Hossein Nejad, will be at the meeting.

Iranian artists will also participate in a question and answer session, while introducing Iran's cinematic features.

Aims of the one-day talk include expanding ties between Iranian and Malaysian directors, exchanging experiences and advising on possible joint productions.

The event is sponsored by the Cultural Centre Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia, among others.
